The Villa

A private two-storey house of limestone, timber and linen, set among the rice fields of Kaba Kaba, with Pererenan twelve minutes one way and Tanah Lot the other.

Escape busy Bali without leaving it behind. Kaba Kaba sits inland from the coast in the Kediri district of Tabanan, where the paddies still run to the horizon and the village keeps a slower pace. If you are looking for a villa to rent in Kaba Kaba, a monthly villa near Pererenan and Canggu, or a home with a proper office for a long stay in Bali, this is the one we send people to. The whole villa is yours: house, pool, garden, balcony and garden studio, with nothing shared.

A Day Here

Slow mornings, long afternoons, sunset over the paddies

Morning

Coffee on the balcony

The double bedroom opens onto a balcony over the rice fields. Make an espresso downstairs, take it back up, and watch the light come up across the paddies.

Afternoon

Work, then the pool

A few focused hours in the glass garden studio, then the pool that runs the length of the garden. Or make the nine-minute run to Seseh and the cafés of Pererenan.

Evening

BBQ as the sun goes

Fire up the BBQ grill, settle into the rattan chairs on the covered terrace, and eat outside as the fields go gold and then quiet.

Sunken L-shaped lounge with built-in shelving at Villa Kaba Kaba
Living

Mediterranean minimalism, tropical calm

A bright open-plan ground floor built around a sunken L-shaped lounge, with built-in shelving, a stone feature wall, a Smart TV and a ceiling fan. Full-height glass doors open straight onto the pool terrace, so the garden becomes part of the room.

Kitchen

A kitchen you will actually cook in

A large stone island with bar seating, a gas stove and oven, an espresso machine and kettle, and a solid teak dining table beside it. Everything you need to cook properly on a longer stay, not a token kitchenette.

Double bedroom with vaulted timber ceiling and glass gable, Villa Kaba Kaba
Bedrooms

Two bedrooms, both en-suite

A double bedroom and a twin room, both with air conditioning, floor-to-ceiling windows, blackout curtains, wardrobes and their own en-suite. The double opens onto a balcony over the rice fields; the twin’s two large beds join as one super-king. Walk-in rain showers, stone basins and herringbone tiles throughout.

Glass garden studio set up as a private office, Villa Kaba Kaba
Garden Studio

An office in the garden, or a third bedroom

A separate glass pavilion on the lawn that adapts to your stay. As an office it has a desk, external monitor, ergonomic chair, sink and bookshelves, surrounded by greenery, which keeps work and home apart on a month-long stay. As a third bedroom it has a sofa bed and curtains for privacy.

A base for school families
